Thumbs down Iphone 3g won't find HFL

Hey guys, my Iphone 3g won't even find the HFL on my 04 TL. I know this might be an Iphone problem more than the car problem but maybe someone had the same problem as me and got it fixed. I spent like 30 minutes in my car trying to get it to connect with the car on and with it in III mode but off. I spent a while searching the forums and internet, but nobody seems to have the problem I do. Any ideas or help?

Well now it found it, but it caused the HFL thing to freeze. I am so pissed right now, just punched a hole in the wall...no joke. I am really angry right now. (((((

2004's had known issues with the HFL unit, so it might not be the phone. To fix it would require replacement of the HFL, which is big $$$$ if you are out of warranty.

Shit, out of warranty. Someone said it was 650 bucks to get it fixed, someone else said you could do this...http://www.justanswer.com/questions/...feature-frozen. The guy that replied was an acura technician apparently. Should I do what he is saying?

Also someone said that you can just remove the negative battery cord for a bit and put it back, or turn the phone off and on. The screen is stuck there that says my passcode that i made up. I'm afraid it will waste the battery since I don't know how old my battery is. I just got my car like 1 month and 1/2 ago. I wasn't even too serious about keeping it connect, just wanted to test it out. Before, I did try, I read that some else's froze while connecting. I really felt sorry for that guy, and what the fuck...it happened to me. I am really pissed, I am gunna disconnect the neg. connection and see what happens tomorrow in the morning, or maybe over night it will unfreeze, but the car is a the O mark right now. Please cross your fingers for me. I am 16, this is my first car, it has already had an oil leak and the rack and pinion had to be replaced along with it being balanced and aligned. Also the brake light sensor had to be replaced. This is all i need for a first car!

Did you just buy this car? Have you ever had any other phones connected to it? Is your iPhone stock or jailbroken?

Anyways, I just bought an iPhone 3GS and paired it last night.. it worked fine.. I have had my HFL freeze up before with my old phone (a blackberry curve) whenever I would try to swap over to another number calling me and switch back to original caller .. I would just turn the car on and off and it would unfreeze.. removing the battery and turning off the bluetooth on the phone when you put the battery back on should reset it. If not, i dont know what to tell you. get a new HFL.. I have a 2004, so it should work.. .
