Interior brightness question

Hey Guys

I finally noticed the other night while driving that even though my headlights were on my navi screen was still bright... after thinking about this for a while I realized I had pressed the "max bright" button on the left side of the steering column, my question is, is it possible to have the gauge lights on max brightness but still have the navi screen on night mode without manually going into the navi setup every night and switching it to "night"

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!

I don't know if this will work, but you could try it...

Set the lighting to MAX. This will crank up the console lights. On the NAVI, hit Setup and set the screen to "Night" (instead of AUTO). If this works, the only drawback will be that you may have to flip it to "Day" when you aren't using your headlights...

I use the console brightness button to "max" and not max to toggle the display between day and night mode, as I often seem to have my headlights on during the day. It's not really a big deal to me to have the displays in the not max brightness mode at night....

By using just the button for this I never have to change the screen settings as I did in the beginning before I knew the button worked like this, which I thought was a real pita.
