I received mh isimple 571 unit yesterday so I opened it up and inspected it. I took off the console and headunit/navi.

For those who use the hanger method or use your hands I applaud you because I couldn't even see how you guys do it. There's tons of black plastic covering everything.

Sounds quality is excellent sounds better than CDs on certain songs probably the higher quality bit rate songs. My previous car had the aux input so I cant live without it now lol

Installation was a breeze once you take off the panels/console. It's a true plug n play product. Works with my classic iPod and my iPhone 4 with no issues.

Question - I have an extra cable with a serial plug and a 3.5mm jack and 2 rcas on the other end what exactly is that for?

 

3.5mm jack and RCAs are for non-ipod audio devices. It appears as Aux 1 or 2 in the radio (vs. IPOD).
