install...75% done

just wanted to share part of my install. after reading so many diy's here on the fourms, i wanna show what an accountant did with no prior experience with cars/audio/related

made my own box and amp platform...but the carpet didn't come in this weekend

navi hack

back up camera

dice ipod

dvd player...some generic brand...u get what u pay for, it skips all the time

dvd player going

defintley not the cleanest install ever, but if anybody is thinking about doing it, like me 2 months ago, you can diy. i think i spent like a total of $1200 for it all

sub - 200
amp - 350
dice ipod - 160
doms dvd navi - 220
dvd player - 65
back up cam - 120
misc materials (wire, wire accessories, wood, and stuff) 125

i might of overpaid for the sub/amp, but the guy helped me wire it for free, which would of taken me forever to figure out.

Looks good. Can't wait to see the finish product. Post more pictures when you're done.

Where did you get the camera? That's my next project.

That's a JL amp, right?

yeah, i wish i had a W7. Damn, i saw that price tag and just couldn't justify it. I have a W3. I can definitley say it isn't the best sub iv'e ever heard, but for my ear, it gets the job done.

the back up cam is wendy's from ebay.

i gotta give prop's to you king of pain, that is one clean install. i never had so much respect for woodworking until last weekend. haha.

Looks good bro! I also have no experience with car audio installation. I usually leave it to the pros. If you ever want to save some space in your trunk you should contact one of vendors here on Acurazine - Uncald4(hope I spelt it right-don't get mad). He makes custom sub enclosures and it looks really nice in our TLs trunk. It'll run you $350 plus shipping. I'm saving up for one for my JL 10W6V2 sub. Post more pics when done. Good luck bro.

i looked at those fiberglass molds that he makes. pretty nice. i guess as long as i can fit one set of golf clubs in my car im ok. but yeah, trunk space is definitley limited.
