Infinity basslink help

i have installed an infinity basslink in my trunk and it is sounding alittle weak. i tapped the rear subs for remote wire/sound input. i listened to my friends basslink which is exactly the same set up but in a tsx and his hits a lot harder. only difference is that the tapped into the left and right rear speakers when i tapped into the sub. could it be weak because i tapped the wires from the sub? thanks!

Did you adjust the gain? What are your HU settings?

I'm not too familiar with the Basslink but do you need a LOC?

A few things:
You don't need an LOC with the Basslink - unless you want to help stimulate the economy
You said you tapped the "rear subs". I assume that is a typo since the TL only has one sub. If you tapped the regular speakers you'll be missing the low end bass.
Do you have inputs into both the right and left inputs of the basslink? You should tap the TL sub wire such that you have both right and left inputs to the basslink.
Definitely experiment with the gain, crossover and phase switches. If you have the phase wrong on the inputs from the tapped sub wire then flipping the phase switch might make a big difference.
Try opening the rear seat pass through door.

There shouldnt be any difference unless the levels(radio&amp) are set differently. i know that the rear speakers in a TSX work as subs only playing low notes, just as the 8" sub does in the TL's.

yes it was a typo. just one sub from the rear deck lol. and i did hook up the left and right side from the basslink into the wires i tapped from the sub. i've tried everything besides tapping into the rear right/left speakers because i'm not sure if it'll make a difference. plus i'd have to take out the seats and rear deck. when i turn up and gain/bass boost it sounds distorted and just does not sound good.

Do you have the subwoofer volume from the head unit menu turned up? I usually run mine at +2. The bass control on the head unit also has a direct impact on the subwoofer, though it took me a while to figure that out
