Infinite Baffle/Free Air Setup starting soon!

Hey guys just bought my car and already getting ready to tear her apart.

I currently have a 12w6v2 in a sealed enclosure. Powering that I have an Alpine MRP-500. I am very content with the sound quality in terms of spl and sql. I have been reading and studying I HATE CARS infinite baffle thread and decided that I was to go with that setup. The only thing I would change with that setup is the speaker. I love my subwoofer but it isn't going to fit. I also don't really want to let it go unless I have to.

Quickly going through some threads, I noticed that people just drop in the elemental designs 8" sub. My only question is what is the exact model number that will fit in without any modding. I will be using the stock amp.

If I am satisfied with the way it sounds I will keep it. If not then I will be doing a custom install with my existing setup using either the box with with the sub going through the ski pass or hang it into the stock enclosure. I will keep you guys updated with the work which will begin promptly but just answer one question if you may?

Which ED sub is the one that everyone uses?

Update for you guys. I just finished installing my existing setup and I am impressed with the sound quality over all. I ended up running everything through driverside door sills and under the seat straight into the trunk. I tapped the remote wire using a fuse add-a-curcuit into fuse #32 (acc) with two 7.5 amp fuses. The signal cable was tapped in from the existing sub. I just cut the cables from the sub harness and spliced them to the LOC (line out converter) with everything hidden in the brace. This is a temporary setup. the box isn't even carpetted.

I will finish off this portion of the build with a simple beauty panel to make it look pretty inside and take some pictures for you guys.

My box is fairly light so it moves around. Have any of you guys had any luck with velcro holding the box to the floor? Did it cause the spare tire well to move?
