Imported phone book is a mess, HELP !

Hey guys,

I just picked up my 08 TL-S and paired up my phone with the HFL and imported the phone book. So far everything worked but the only problem is that I end up with 328 contacts in my car, most of them don't even have any phone numbers attached to them, compared to about 110 on my phone. Main reason why this is happening is because on my phone I can merge the Facebook, email and contact cards together as one contact since I'm running Windows Phone.

Now I looked at my car and I can't see a way to delete all those extra contacts that I end up with due to that. Is there any way to do it or simply a way to work around it ?

Thanks in advance for any help that you guys can provide.

I had a similar issue using HTC Sense on an Android OS, since it merges facebook contacts.

I could be wrong, but there doesn't appear to be a way to edit or remove contacts imported via bluetooth (although if there is I'd love to see it!).

Depending on how often you plan to update your phonebook in your car, you could sign out/unlink your facebook profile, sync to your car, then resync with facebook. With my HTC Sense phone, doing this did not cause me to lose the linked contacts... HTC Sense adds a tag to the Note field of my contacts in Gmail.

Actually, it's been a while since I've had that phone tbh... Maybe I did have to relink the people.

...anyway, if you want to get a clean address book in your car, and don't plan to update it often, it might be worth the hassle of unlinking and relinking.

I could do that but I'll still end up with duplicate entries for people who have more than one e-mail linked together. It would still clean part of the clutter if there's no other way to work around that.
