Impending 'mechanical failure' ? - stock NAVI audio unit

OK.. haven't seen this occur before but here are details:

08 Acura TL Navi

There are 5 mp3 'burnt' CDs (fuji) in the changer... they have been working fine for weeks.

Something odd occured...the changer display on navi was showing the incorrect CD in each slot.

I.E. one CD was in changer 2 but labelled on the NAVI screen as in changer 1.

Upon selecting that CD, I could not browse the 'folders' on the CD...finally, the unit reported "mech error"...i ejected ALL CDs out of the changer and put them back in...works fine for now.

I'm not worried as I've got 2yrs of warranty left but just wondering if anyone came across this and if it is a sign of impending failure.

I think you're past "impending" failure...seems like you're already there. Might as well go get it fixed since you're under a warranty
