I wanna add navi to non navi car

If I get all the OEM components, are they just plug and play basically? I know Ill prolly have to add the antenna, but thats ok. I just dont want to have to cut & splice harnesses. I searched, but just found dead links. Anyone done this and can you tell me what it involved? Thanks...
