I lost all my interrior lighting...and keyless entry

Hello all,

Well here's the situation of my car

'08 TL 5AT w\ Nav
116 miles
Completely stock except I changed the followsing bulbs:

Trunk to LED
License plate to LED
Reverse to LED
Vanity to LED
Front and rear dome to LED
Door lights to LED (Well just one, the story will explain)

All the lights worked fine, I only got around to installing the door lights today. Did the passenger side without issue. One the driver side, I pulled out the bulb, tried to put in the LED and it wasn't going. Pushed a little harder and nothing. I looked inside and saw that the contact on the right side that it slides between was pushed too far together, and needed to be seperated. Instead of using a wood or plastic impliment, in my infinite wisdom, I used a flat head screw driver, well as soon as I touched it, all my interrior lights shut off (the car wasn't running, key wasn't in ignition in ACC or On or anything).

So now all the interrior dome lights, and the door lights are out. I forgot to check about the vanity and trunk. Clearly, I shorted something out.

Any ideas how to fix this? Is it just a fuse? Anyone know what fuse and where I can find it?

Now to add insult to injury, I closed the door, tried to lock the car with the remote, and nothing happened. Are the fuses on these two systems tied into each other? Or did I f*** this up more than I think?

Finally, some other notes, car does start, gauges light up, navi starts up and all, clock\temp area still works, ambient lighting still works, all the buttons still light up, so it appear that I didn't do anything drastic like fry the entire system.

Please help! I can't beleive I already started screwing up my week old car by being lazy...grrrrr

You blew a fuse, don't worry...

Just replace it, see which fuse controls dome/door lights. And don't insert metal objects into a running electrical system

Haha, thanks for your help, I'm no stranger to blowing fuses in my old cars, I just never though that keyless entry and the interrior lights were linked...I guess it makes sense though!

Thanks again!

Well, it turns out that it was indeed the fuse. 7.5 amp under the steering wheel. Changed that, re-paired my remotes, and I was good to go!
