Exclamation I just want 2 know how to create DVD A from MP3's on hard drive

Seems like no one can answer this.
How do I create a DVD-A that will play in the TL, from MP3's on my hard drive.

Is there a program I need ?
Adoeman's does not convert from mp3 to dvd a, only from CD drive, from what I understand.

Please help

Heat03,

All you need to do is convert the mp3s to wav first and then you can use my script.
Try and download CDEx. http://cdexos.sourceforge.net/ It will allow you to convert your mp3s to wav.

Once you have it running go to Options--> Settings and select the Encoder Tab. In the Encoder drop down pick "WAV Output Encoder" Format=WAV, Compression=None(PCM), Sample Rate = 44100 Hz and Channels = Stereo. Click OK to close that window. Once you set/check this you don't need to do it again

Now do Convert--> "Convert Compressed Audio Files(s) to WAV File(s)" Browse to the directory where your mp3s are and select the ones you want and them convert them. Just make sure you don't check the "delete originals" check box.

Once you have the wavs your good to use the my scripts.

ok I think I got it. I will try tonight.

Thank you Mike for the help.

just so I understand. I have to convert the mp3 files to .wav. They then can be burned to DVD to be played in the tl and a disk will hold 99 songs if it's one group?

My burning software is nero 6 suite. It came with the burner. It doesn't have an option to allow .wav files to be burned to a dvd. Does your script actually do the burning? So I don't need this Nero junk at all?

I did find a different program that converts to .wav. I will try your scripts again. I am ok with computers but no specialist so it just seemed a bit confusing to me. I guess I'm retarded, lol.

thank you again. I'm getting fed up trying to complete this simple task of burning mp3 to dvd lol.

99 songs per group, up to 9 groups.

My scripts will create what is called an ISO file from all of your av files. That is an "image" of the DVD. Basically a file that Nero can burn to a DVD disk. Nero is a good program but it doesn't do DVD-A. My scripts create a DVD-A image (ISO) and Nero will just put it on a disk.

You are not a moron. Not everyone is a "techie". A assure you that you possess much knowledge about other topics that I probably don't ... so we are even

Hey Mike,

I got it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you my man.

Can I send you a donation or something??

My only question now is.. after I'm done with a disk. Do I need to delete the iso file I created in c:\dvda ? What happens when I go to make the next disk. Do I need to clear out, delete, or move all of the .wav files that in cdgroup1, 2, etc... and the iso file too?

Thanks again for all of your help.. I've been fooling with this stuff for the 3 days and I am so happy it now works

See, I knew you could do it!
Donation ? Naaa. The best things in life are free.

The scripts will get rid of the old ISO file next time you run.

Yes, you need to clear out the wav files. I don't automatically do that since I don't know if they are copies or your only ones. If you really want to delete them all (rather than move them somewhere else) there is a script called deleteWAVs.bat. It deletes all the WAV files in the WAVs directory and subs.

Thanks again.

I am now working on my second disk while we speak
I got about 90 tracks and put them in one group.
It came out to about 4.6GB. There is another thread here, by maarkjrenna where he talks about getting 891 tracks, 99 x 9 groups. HOw is that possible? Each of my .wav files is about 50mb each. Like I said, I only got about 90 songs and that was enough to fill a complete dvd disk. Is there some way to get 9 groups of 99 tracks? Won't that be way too much GB to fit?

Thanks !!
Many props to you for your program

hey dooky211,
I feel your pain brother
It took me a few days, but it is not very difficult, and I am no "techie".

Just think like this:
First you need to convert the files to .wav format. Whether they are mp3 or right from cd.
Once you have that done, you install the Adobeman files and it will give you directories for the .wav files to be in. follow his instructions and it will create an .iso file that will be ready to burn.
YOu then need a iso burning program like deepburner.
As far as the first steps of converting, you can use audiograbber to convert the files from cd to .wav.

hope it helps, don't give up, you'll get it.

You can also use CDeX to rip CDs straight to wav... No need for AudioGrabber. One less program you will have to use..
