HVAC controls on carputer screen
Has anyone been able to figure out how to get the HVAC functionality to work on a carputer LCD screen? I've searched around, but the best that I could find were posts like:

where people are looking to do this, but I have yet to see anywhere where someone has actually been able to do this. This would be really cool if we could do it because
1) A Xenarc screen looks WAY better than the non-navi screens
2) I wouldn't have to relocate the non-navi screens to where my ash/CD trays are and have to cut (as much) stuff
3) I'd still have the functionality of the ash/CD trays.

Reproducing the "brain" as far as how to control it and everything woudln't be TOO bad since we have a whole CPU to crunch away at this. The hardest parts are figuring out:
1) The protocol that the current "brain" is using
2) The Electrical specs on the lines that you have to mess with.
We could probably figure out 1 with a little bit of effort, but #2 scares me a little bit more. Hate to accidently fry something trying to figure out #1. Hell, if anyone happened to have a logic analyizer laying around, we could easily mimic #1. What we really need is to know what kind of protocol it's speaking. If we figured that out, it would be much easier to come up with a solution.
