Looking into getting the box from avelectronics to use the navi screen as a monitor, but how would I go about using the digital audio out of the dvd player and hook it up to the stock audio equipment? Additional hadware required to decode the AC3 DD through the Toshlink or Coxial audio output back to analog?

i'm not sure you could do this unless you cou installed a separate HD design to decode DD or DTS and that allowed optical input or coaxil audio. If i'm not mistaken the decoding on the Acura HU is internal, and doesn't allow for input.

but if you could figure it out, that would be awesome. I've been wondering if this was possible. I think apline had units and processors that allow this, but I don't think it's an add on product to other aftermarket HUs...

i'm interested in knowing if anyone has figured this out as well...
