Im having trouble finding how much RMS these handle ? Im reading 300RMS but the guy said he was putting 1200 watts to these two ? They are the old school JL AUDIO W3-D4's Aniverary Model wt bubble dust cap I think ?

 

Lol...prolly a "1200 watt" amp that's been added for every ohm configuration. Seeing how the new w3v3's take around 3-400rms..I would say around there.

 

Well there are two of them. Given how amps are rated at their lowest ohm rating, and they could have been wired in series its possible to put 1200W @ 2ohm into a load rated at 300w @ 8 ohm.

Ive got a single 12W3V2. I have an alpine amp thats pushing 400 watts RMS. Drives it very well!!

 

V1 w3s were rated at 250 rms
