How to go back to previous version of Navigation DVD
I have a TL- S , 2007. I had gotten an updated copy of the navigation dvd. After i installed it, it worked fine for 2 months. Now, it has started giving me problems. If i put the original DVD, the system says that it is an older version.
Is there a way to reset the settings and use my original navigation DVD ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated

What problems is the new disc giving you?

it says "problem with disc, contact your dealer" ....when i restart my car, the navigaton works for a while and then again all of a sudden that sign comes up......and if i am driving with that error prompt, later on, on the same path there are "white dots" on the navigation.....
I guess, the dvd was not orginal and maybe that's why it is happening......
i just need to reset the settings so i can put the original DVD

Safety Car
Try this:
1. Go to your car.
2. Turn your car's ignition to ACC.
3. Open the trunk and insert your original navi disk.
4. Go back to the driver seat, the display will show some dvd read error, now press and hold "GUIDE" "MENU" and "CANCEL" for approx 5 seconds to bring up the diagnostic menu.
5. Wait another 5 seconds to let it load up completely. Press "version" button on the screen
6. Press "LOAD DISC".
7. Wait until it finishes loading.
BTW: I think the white dots you are referring to are known as "breadcrumbs." It's not a bug, but a feature that you can turn on/off from one of the settings menu.

check the dvd for scratches. If there are no scratches, go to your dealer and tell them of the issue. Most likely it will require replacement of the navi-drive. It's not software (navi version) related, but hardware related.

Thanks datmrman, ur instructions worked....now i have the original DVD and see if i still get the error msg.
I will also keep "csmeance" advice in mind and see if it's the hardware or software....
Hmmm, i am not sure that "breadcrumbs" feature is there in TL-S 2007......also, the crumbs are there only on routes where the error msg. was there....and also it's random....
Anyways, thank you very much .....

Breadcrumbs *are* a feature on the '07 TL-S versions (I've got one).
You get them when travelling in an "off map/off road" area. When you got the error, the navi didn't know where you were (it htought you were off the map/road), but the GPS did, so it left breadcrumbs.
