How to enable auto Navi dimming/color inversion???

I set it to Auto in the Navi Menu, but when i turn my headlights on they do not invert to the night time setting. Is there another setting i am missing?

The only way i can get it to the dim/inversion setting is by doing it manually.

Make sure your dashboard lights aren't at Max. If they are, the auto-dimming function is disabled.

Actually...its the brightness setting on your NAVI unit....NOT your dashboard light setting. These are set in different places. Dashboard setting has a seperate switch on dash...and the NAVI brightness setting is controlled though the setup screens on the NAVI unit. As he said...just make sure the brightness feature on the NAVI unit is at least on bar away from MAX. If its on MAX (on your NAVI brightness) it will stay bright all the time and not transform to "night mode" when you turn on the headlights. But personally...I have my dash lights set to max...and the NAVI brightness one bar down from max and it transforms to night feature just fine.

Never mind, i figured it out, it was the MAX setting of the dashboard and not the navi.. maybe they changed it on 07's. But now I got it to go to night.
