So a few months ago I reran "System Setup" to screw around with audible ringtone vs. prompt feature. At the end of the system setup it asks you about the 4 digit pin code and would I like to enable security. I clearly stated NO, so the system then prompts me for a 4 digit code anyways. It wouldn't let me complete the setup without providing the code.

Now I can't turn the security off. I've tried to rerun system setup again and said NO, SECURITY DISABLED, DISABLE SECURITY, and bunch of explitives... Nothing works.

I'm so sick of having to recite that stupid 4 digit code every time I start the car and want to use the phone.

I've studied the manual and there's nothing there on how to disable it.

Anyone out there know how to do this? Is there a special command or sequence?

 

According to the online manual you have to press the HFL button and say "security" then press again and say "unlock"
