How do I keep backup camera clean?
Sorry if this has been covered in another topic. I tried the search but only came up with backup camera install threads.
Anyway, just picked up an '08 CBP 6MT Type-S which comes with the backup camera. I live in the Cleveland area, which as most know, gets lots of snow, and we use salt here. So, on my first drive to work with the new car, I notice tons of salt and water got kicked up onto the camera. Is there a way to prevent this, or is it just something I have to live with? Can the camera be mounted a little higher so its actually behind the licence plate area?
Thanks in advance.

I would think regular cleaning would be sufficient. (Just brush it off with some Windex). If that doesn't work for you, apply some polish or sealant, and that should protect the camera lens well.

Think about it, the whole back end gets dirty, there's nothing to prevent it. We all have to deal with it, you just have to clean it off, there's nothing else you can do about it. You may want to put some rain-x on it and that may help the water/dirt to bead off a little easier.
