HFL W/Motorola V600

I apologize if this question has been asked before. How does one answer a incoming call on the HFL? I have a Motorola V600. Should the "answer to open" setting on the phone be in the on or off position? Also, when making a call through the HFL , how do you tell the HFL to enter a particular number. For example, when leaving a message for someone, many voice mail systems ask that you push 1 to leave a message for Jane Dow or 2 for John Brown, etc.

the "send" command is given after speaking the number to be put on the voice mail. It requires 2 beeps - the first to give the number and to receive the HFL's acknowledge, the second to then say "send". For many voice mail systems you better be quick. For an extensive discussion of v600 problems otherwise, see the thread called "poll - sorting out the v600 problems," below.
