Must say, I am blown away. The HFL on my 2005 TL went into the "Booting Up" problem. Not on warranty, only have 28,500 miles. Called my dealer, Acura 101 West in Calabasas, CA. They said bring it in. I was very pessimistic but thought I'd try. They looked at it and said it had to be replaced, and said they would talk to somebody and see if Acura would cover at least some of the cost. I didn't have to pay a dime! Very happy and faith in my dealership restored!

Not sure why they did it but I'm sure glad they did!

Got mine replaced right at the very end of my warranty.

 

They probably did it because there was a TSB recall on them once upon a time. That's how I got mine originally replaced.
