HFL Questions

I have a couple questions for all you experts out there. Couldn't find a post for my main question so I started a new thread.

If I setup 2 phones in my 04 TL, what happens when they are both in the car at the same time?

I tried getting my Treo 600 and my RAZR V3 to pair with the car and both times the system locked up and I had to pull the battery cable. Any ideas why this would happen? Do I ned to have my HFL replaced? I know now the 600 isn't compatible, but the V3 should have been.

Are all the phones listed on Acuras website not compatible with my TL? I was considering getting a newer V3xx, but it says it won't work. I really like the size of the RAZR, but would like for it to work with my car. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the help, in advance.

As far as the 2 phones at once - there is something in the manual on this.

IIRC, you can pair up to 6 phones. Regardless of the number of paired phones in the car, only 1 phone will be "active" with the HFL.

If there are 2 (or more) phones in the car at the same time, I don't recall if it is the 1st phone found that is active or the 1st phone that was paired is active.

1) It should seek the last used phone first, if not found it will go to the next phone if available

2) Nothing happens; HFL can only maintain one bluetooth link; push the talk button and say "next phone" to swap to your other phone

3) Did you have both phones in the car when you tried this? Maybe you've got too much bluetooth! =p What year is your TL? There is a service bulletin for HFL lockups - B05-020

4) Handsfreelink.com says the AT&T/Cingular 8525 is NOT compatible; but I have that phone and it works 100% fine, using Windows Mobile 6 I get battery + signal strength

Not sure about the other phones; I knew I could get the 8525 to work because it's windows mobile based, so most of the bluetooth limitations are by the Microsoft OS - for which there are many tweaks and hacks..

I have a 04 Tl and have a razor V3xx. It used to work perfect then started having problems were I could receive a call but not call out. When I bought it it was under Cingular. I took it in and ATT replaced the chip card to a ATT card and upgraded my phones software. It works great.
