I did a search on this and found a couple of you have had issues with your hfl. I have an 07 TL and yesterday my hfl went haywire. I was trying to make a call to my wife at work and I have to "send" her extension after the auto answer picks up. Normally it goes directly to her phone, but this time I got the answer message back with a tone (similar to holding a number button down on a phone while talking). I hung up and tried again...same result. One more time and the hfl turned itself off (or something) and would not work. I pressed the select button on the wheel for the HUD menu for the hfl and i got the message "no information available". I turned the car off and then tried again...same thing.

Several hours later it worked fine.

Any suggestions as to the problem? I did set up an appointment to take it in, but now have cancelled it due to it working good now.

Sometimes it's the phone; when you "send" numers through the HFL it's telling your phone to send it; sometimes my connection is out of whack and I have to restart the phone

 

I used the HFL for approximately 3 months with no issues. One day, everything was f'd up. I deleted the phone from the HFL and deleted the connection from the phone's bluetooth. I paired the phone again and have had no problems. You may want to try that.
