HFL Pauses

Anyone figured out how to insert pauses in HFL commands? Useful for retreiving voice mail on answereing devices, etc. Using the SEND command while conducting the call is not the best solution...I hope not the only one....

Move to 3G BT subF.

"Pause" wouldn't work well.

Try to save your password into your HFL phone book, and call it out when accessing your voicemail.

The HFL "pause" command may work with other phones, however it won't work with the Motorola V710.

Rets,

I accessed this thread by running a search first, so I apologize if I've missed an obvious one. Is there a thread dedicated to getting through voicemail with the HFL? I've got a T637.

Thanks,

Z.

zgrabill,

There are some threads ever talkig about this, but unfortunately, there is no easy/direct way so far.

1. Setup "voicemail" as name into HFL phonebook -> Call "voicemail" -> Send certain numbers to access your voicemail option

2. Call "voicemail" -> use keypad of Mobile phone to access your voicemail option

Hope someone could provide you more details.

I entering the code last night and it worked. All I did was say 1-2-3-4, I didn't press the button and then "Say 1-2-3-4." Instead, after the phone connected to voicemail, I interrupted the voice by pressing the talk buttong and just saying "1-2-3-4" and it seemed to work.

Including a "Pause" when you set up a number in your phone book will stop sending characters, but I can't figure out how to un-pause. I have a T637, and with that (as on most phones) a pause is like .5 seconds so then you can stack them for as long as you need .. I included a pause in a phone book entry and it never released to send the remaining digits ... any ideas?

Sorry, guys -

For now, you might as well forget about inserting pauses in your dialing sequences - the TL HFL doesn't support it properly yet. And, there is no "wait" feature implemented at all.

I chatted with one of the engineers that works on the TL's HFL software last week, and there are still issues around proper implementation of the "pause" feature.

Just to let you know, I have successfully inserted pauses in my dialing sequences, but they don't seem to do anything at all (except occasionally cause the phone to do a hard reset).

For Voicemail, I've done the following:

1) Progammed a HFL Phone Book entry for "Voicemail" (*86 for Verizon)

2) Progammed a second HFL Phone Book entry for "Voicemail Access Code" (#1234#)

3) I'll initiate my Voicemail call by saying "Call Voicemail".

4) I then wait until the MID displays "IN USE" (which means the phone has made contact with the other end), and then I immediately send another HFL command for "Send Voicemail Access Code". I won't even wait for full voice confirmation from the HFL - as soon as I see it has chosen the right number, I'll send a command response of "Yes".

This works most of the time, but I still need to do "Send '1'"s and "Send '7'"s, etc. to work my way through the menus.

Cheers!
