I just had my first HFL Lockup. "hands free link" displayed on the radio. No radio, CD,Cassette, or XM available. MID states "no information available" Steering wheel buttons have no impact on the problem.

Any suggestions for fixing this? It has worked flawlessly for 8 months. This is the first real issue.


I've read that i should pull the Neg Battery Cable for about 10 seconds and this should fix it. Any other ideas?

I was going to say just that my guess would be to unhook the battery should fix it. Just make sure you have your radio codes handy.

 

Try letting the car go through a full on-off cycle with about half hour off.
If that doesn't cure the problem, then try battery disconnect.
After that, it's a trip to the dealer-- in other threads, a couple of members mentioned HFL replacements when theirs would not unlock.
