I have a 04 TL and a Razr phone. People say I sound like I am in a well. Anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions will greatly be appreciated. Great feature but I do not use it.

 

You should go outside the car and have someone call you from the TL using HFL and your Razr to see how it sounds.
If the sound is bad outside the car, you should do a search of this forum for HFL problems. There are a couple of threads in which owners had bad HFL units with low sound quality or inconsistent operation that were replaced by service departments under warranty.

Bear in mind that you are essentially using a speakerphone when you talk via the HFL, and it will never sound quite the same as talking on a hand-held phone. Ever talk to someone who uses a speakerphone at the office and notice how they seem to be in a cave? It's basically the same phenomenon.

So if they can hear you fine and they just don't like the echo, tell them to suck it up and deal with it!

 

You might also try turning down the volume on your speaker and see if that helps. It's the feedback that's causing the echo...
