I am now the proud owner of a 2004 TL MT6...


When I went to pair my phone to the HFL it got to the four digit code section then promptly crashed... I can't get it to do anything, the display just reads phone


Any quick fixes?

 

If this helps - the display (trip computer) says PAIR 1234 (the code I said) when I turn the car on

 

There's a fuse that you can pull out and replace to reset it. I think its the one for the stereo. It happened to me also have an 04 tl had to go to acura to get the HFL unit replaced didn't cost me anything because I was still under warranty at the time.

 

This happened to me and it was because my bluetooth on the phone side was turned on while doing the code. Turn the bluetooth off the phone then say pair phone when prompted and then it will go through all the instructions. Say 1234 and then when prompted, then turn on the bluetooth on the phone. Type in 1234 on the phone and it will link. That will correct it.

 

The reset worked with the fuse and I will try the pairing the way you described
