Lightbulb HFL Cingular Phones

If your having problems with connecting your Cingular phone to the HFL, I've heard that if you turn your phone off a least once every couple days it works better with the HFL. I think its because it resets your phone and helps it connect faster. I was having problems with the connection on my car and now that i turn it off and back on once in a while it works better. Try this before wasting time in taking your car in to the dealer.

I wonder if it's only a locked phone tied to Cingular's network that's causing the problem because I have them as a provider, too, but my unlocked v3i never gave me that problem. And if no one knows this, you can transfer your call back to your phone by pushing the HFL button and saying "transfer".

It might not be Cingular that is causing the problem but the type of phone. My Sony Erickson does not hook up to HFL. Sony Erickson have acknowledged the problem but have no fix ready yet.

I experienced problems with Cingular's SonyEricsson (Z525a) phone. I then exchanged it for a Motorola Razr and I've had NO problems using the Razr with the HFL. It pairs up perfectly every time.

I have Cingular's Sony Ericsson z525a. After upgrading the firmware I haven't had any problems with the phone.

Check here for more info on the z525a

I just got the TREO 680. Works perfect with my 04TL. I leave my bluetooth on all the time. When I start my car, it is already connected!

You have to get a SE USB cable from Cingular for about 24.99. Once you get the cable you will need to d/l the software update.

Check this thread out for more detail

You could ask the Cingular rep to do it for you so you don’t have to buy the USB cable. I didn't ask my local store, but some stores may do it, especially if they are trying to make a sale.

Good luck
