HFL "booting up" question

I have searched and found that my HFL module has most likely gone bad as it is stuck "booting up". Recently when my car sits for a few days without being started I have to jump it off. I know that this is probably caused by the HFL. I have read that it doesnt shut off when its like this and draws a small amount of current that is draining my battery just enough after a few days.

my question is, can I just dis connect the HFL module without it messing up anything else like the display, remote entry , etc...???

It is in the overhead console by the map lights. Take the sunroof switch out with a feeler gauge, then pull the map light out with your fingers. The housing is held on with 4 8mm bolts.

Does the diagram above work for the 07 type S as well? Cause my BT is acting up as well and my battery is starting to die. For the past 2 days my car has had some trouble starting up. It sounds like it's dying and then fires up. How do I save my battery?
