Hi - I've had my '06 TL w/Navi since July of '08. With VERY RARE exceptions, it always displays "BOOTING" in the MID for the HFL. When I had the PS hose recall done, I asked the dealer and they said it would run about $400 to replace the module.

I have pulled the module from the overhead compartment and looked at it... but I'm not sure that "all" of the HFL - I'm thinking not. At any rate, a visual inspection of the module from the overhead didn't really show anything obvious. I did hit a couple of solder joints that *might* have been questionable, but I don't think they were and it didn't have any effect.

So, has anyone fixed this issue on their own or is it strictly a dealer repair???
