So I was at the bank today and I decided to try and set up my hfl. I took out the owners manual and they look like pretty easy steps to set up. So I pushed the button on the steering wheel and waited for a beep but there was none. Any help to find out why its not working? Thanks

 

You have to sync it with your phone... turn bluetooth on in the device, set it to to discovery mode.

Press the Talk/Pick-up button on your wheels, say "phone options".

Then it will tell you all the available options, I think you would then press the button again and say "pair".

It should make you set a PIN number which you enter on your device when prompted.

At that point you should be paired.

 

Still no go. I have no confirmation or anything. I set my phone to discovery mode and it still doesent work? I press the button on the steering wheel and NOTHING.

 

Sounds like you have a defective switch then.

 

Go to "HandsFreeLink" in the MID and select it-- does it say "booting up?"
If so, the HFL is bad and must be replaced. It's a 5-minute job and the new HFL costs @ $170.
