that hole that would emerge for the factory hu would be pretty big. my idea is put an lcd screen there and put in a kenwood system that also has navi, so you would have a navi, dvd capeabilities and a good system. without a huge hole.

Check your local car electronics store (Tweeters, Best Buy, Circuit City) to see if you can find a head unit dash kit (if they exist). Another place to try is Crutchfield.com.

I have a feeling you'll have to perform a custom job (make your own).

A few members have been able to mount 3/4-1 din DVD players in the top storage compartment under the head unit.

Good luck!

Are you telling me that if I break open the dashboard, my warranty is void????
Wait a minute.... maybe I should have thought about this before I installed my tiny little Aux input adapter to the back of my radio.... Tell me it ain't so!!! I need my warranty! I'm sure I'm going to screw up my TL somehow somewhere!!!

If your modifications/actions cause damage, that damage is not covered under warranty. If they didn't cause the problem that needs warranty coverage, then you should be fine.

You could make one your self, if you are handy with a dremel tool and have lots of patience. Just buy some ABS plastic sheets, 1/8" thick, create a template, and start cutting. It will cost you less than $50.

Hell, you could even buy a dremel and it would still be cheaper - good excuse for a new tool...
