I am having complications with my pie unit. i dont think its the adapter harness but the pie itself. we installed one in ackTL car and everything works perfectly fine. we attempted to do mine today but we encountered some difficulties. everything is wired correctly but there is a high pitch static noise when playing audio. i tried it with a playstation and a dvd player and both had the same high pitch sound. xm and the other radio channels play fine alone, but when we switch the channel on the little remote thats comes with the kit it streams a high pitched noise. When the rca cables are close and plugged in the high pitch noise comes about. can any one please help me with this..

hrmm its interference! where are you tapping the power from? is the unit next to the power?

 

Thait, u always come thru my man. appreciate ur efforts. im Getting power from the cig lighter.(tapped into it from behind) acktl05 is done the same way tho but his is crisp and mines full of static. def a good thought tho. in mine, u here the audio but its full of static. any other thoughts. I will attempt to mount further away from power tom. cheers

 

if any one else is experiencing problems with a pie unit call there tech support at 800-330-9754.. In my situation it is the unitits self. hope this helps any one in the future.
