Help: Navigation Problem

About a week ago my navigation system stopped changing from day view to night view when I turned on the headlights. I went into the menu and it's still set on "auto" mode to adjust automatically. Has anyone else had this happen? Is there a light sensor for this or is it just connected directly to the headlight on/off switch?

This is in a 2006 TL.

Thanks for any help!

you have the brightness set at max, lower it down on notch, and it will go back to normal

to clarify, the brightness on the gauges, the control is located on the bottom left corner of the RPM gauge.

You can toggle it by pressing MAX button, too. I don't think I've actually ever adjusted the brightness. I just toggle it when I have my lights on during the day (rainy season).
