I've tried to search for this to no avail, do any of you guys know if you could install the tl navi screen into a non navi car and have all the functions (Climate, Radio etc) work correctly without having the navi system installed, just to be clear navi system not wanted but i would like to have the touch screen to use the climate and radio controls, just wondering?

 

I'm thinking it won't work as it's the navi system's "cpu" that drives the screen. The screen isn't switching to an image being generated by the air conditioning system or radio when you choose those functions. It's coming from the navi system.

 

Better off just trading your car for one with navi.

The navi screen in my '07 doesn't control the climate controls. Are they on the screen in the earlier TL's? (They are on the '07 Honda Accord screen, so they're just disabled on mine. I know that there is supposed to be a hack for them on the earlier TL, but I don't know if they really work properly with the hack.)

 

Yes You could have the climate controls on the navi screen. You need to install Angry Dad's navi mod. He wrote a program that have the trip computer, calculator, and whole bunch of other cool programs. try search on navi screen mod. they worked flawlessly on mine and you can have custom start up screen and no more OK button and nag screen.

And to Keentype, you'll also need to get the navi dvd drive that goes in the trunk to control the OEM screen.

I thought that the Nag Screen Hack, the Trip Computer Hack(s) and the Climate Control Hack(s) did NOT work on the '07.

they will not work as it is written for the 3.xx series and not the 4.xx series
