I just picked up a JL 10w7 and JL 500/1 amp and decided to install it myself. This is my first time doing any sort of stereo install on ay car so im a newbie at it.

I ran the power wire from the battery to the trunk and also attached the ground. My questions are:

1) From what im aware of I dont need a LOC since the 500/1 has a signal sensing start up so I dont need a turn on lead?

2) I also cant get my hands on a line to RCA cable so I decided to chop one end of the RCA cable off and connect that to the sub. Will this be sufficient enough or am I doing a chop job?

3) Other then that am I missing anything?
