Each door will run 6 - 8sqft
Rear Decklid is about 4sqft
Trunklid is about 20sqft
Trunk is about 40sqft

Check out Secondskinaudio.com, their deadener blows the balls off of Dynamat

Application is simple, you're going to want to, minimally, apply a single layer over the vapor barrier inside the door. You are going to want to make you overlap any seams ensuring that it acts as a single, continuous piece. You are using what is known as a mass-loading barrier opposed to a vibration barrier, just as an FYI. Get a wooden roller as well and apply in warmer temps...if you plan on doing this sooner then later, grab a heatgun.

Any more questions, let me know. I've applied well over a thousand sqft of the stuff.

second skin audio ROCKS!!!! It won't leave your car smelling horrible (dynamat is tar based) and as well it holds up a whole lot better to extreme temps.

dynamat is not tar based...it is a butyl rubber based product...so no smell...get your facts straight...

You may want to use mass loaded vinyl and closed cell foam over the doors if your going into a compition style install. I would recommend doing the entire interior floors roof, doors. dynamat extreme or second skin, then an application of mass loaded vinyl and follow up with closed cell foam. Then you can build your SQ based system, sound control and tuning will then your next task, after building your system or installing all the componets.
