Headlight question..

On my way to work I drive through a few tunnels that aren't very long but they are just long enough to cause the headlights to kick on and the nav screen to go into "night mode" right as I am exiting the tunnel. Is there any way to extend how long the car senses darkness before it kicks it into that mode?

have you checked the owner manual for operational info and programming changes?

Well the only headligh timer I can find is how long they stay on after you close the driver's door. That's not what I'm looking for. But some people know of some hidden ways to get to timers. I was hoping someone on here might know.

Thanks.

Is this a new feature on the 2008? I have an 06 and always have to manually turn on the lights and the navi only goes to night mode when I turn on the headlamps... Is there a feature I am missing?

It is annoying when it is a cloudy day and you go under an overpass, only to see your headlights go on, then off. My auto detecting lights in my Denali react much slower, so I don't have the same issues.

Also when I pull into the garage at home, I can't park it quick enough before the lights come on. The auto headlight switch is too quick to react to lighting conditions.
