Any possible way to do this? Since the panic button they turn on I would think its very simple. If you leave your headlights on and they turn off after awhile if you unlock them after they turn off the lights turn on.

If I do that can it drain the battery? Leave the lights on because they shut off in like 40 seconds? And then unlock my car the lights will turn on .

 

Wait you want the head lights to turn on after you unlock the car?

Read the manual, all this can be done through the MID. Really easy and lots of options.

 

ditto ashdec87, i thought this was a standard thing, i leave the lights on if i'm out and about at night. and when i come back to find my car, *press key* and ta-da, i found my car.

to risk stating the obvious...

have you tried leaving your headlights on...leaving your car, then pressing lock on your key twice to turn off the headlights, then press unlock... for me this unlocks the car while the headlights turn on.

 

^Yes. If you leave your headlights turned on, get out, lock the car (press the fob twice) they'll turn off. Then when you unlock the car they will turn on. This only happens if you have the headlight knob turned on the whole time. Doesn't work if it's on any other. It's kind of like BMW's and MB's with their courtesy "walk up lamps" at night.

You'll be fine with leaving them on for 30 seconds to a minute.

 

can you make it so you dont have to leave your lights on? so if you turn your lights off and at night you unlock it they will turn on?

 

dont think so

 

that is a feature in the new 4g TL's, you're only option in the 3g is to leave your lights on.
