Hardwiring Garmin Nuvi in my '06 TL

Hi guys...I ran across this solution, but I'm a little unsure the best way to tap the fuse box since the pigtails on this cable are justred and black bare wires. Would I solder on a connector to insert them into the fuse box?

Any help is appreciated.
