Handsfree link questions-'06 TL

So I just got my tl (yay) and noticed that my handsfree link tab on the information screen stays at booting up and nothing never happens. I youtube'd how to set-up and pair my phone to the car and noticed that when I push my phone talk button nothing happens. My voice command button works but my phone button has no response. So my question is, is it the module or if not how do I reset the bluetooth system to see if it works?

oh boy if your HFL is shot then dealer price is around $900 for the fix since you got the navi model its a nightmare to replace the HFL 2nd unit which locate behind your navi screen.

No-- that's not the experience of most TL owners here.
There is no "HFL 2nd unit"-- there is a "delay box" in the Navi console; the delay box is what maintains power to the HFL after the ignition is turned off. The HFL (Bluetooth) unit is in the sunroof control console.

No, it's most likely a bad HFL unit and not the delay box-- I don't think anyone other than those with water-damaged storm cars has ever had to replace the delay box. OTOH, many of us have replaced the HFL after encountering an extended "booting up" message.

The HFL unit costs @ $180 and can be replaced in 5 to 10 minutes.

For background, instructions, parts numbers, etc., read the posts from #180 forward in this thread: https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-audio-bluetooth-electronics-navigation-94/bluetooth-fails-792642/.

Just got the phone with the closest acura dealer to me which is in jersey. The guy told me $202 new without installation. My guess with installation it's $400+. I'll do it myself
