Hands Free / Bluetooth Issue

My wife and I just purchased a 2005 TL w/NAV and 6 speed MT. It appears the Bluetooth may be failing per other discussion on the board. If I go to Hands Free Link mode it gets stuck on "Booting Up". If I try to use voice recognition to pair with my phone, none of the phone commands are recognized (i.e. like "Phone Setup - Pair - XXXX") - it always goes to NAV setup screen instead. I assume these go hand-in-hand - i.e. Phone commands are not recognized if Hands Free Link is not operational? Which of these operations should I do first (i.e. Hands Free Link Boot Up, or Voice set up) assuming everything was working without issue?

Thanks,
Kevin

The HFL unit is bad. There is a guide that you can use to replace a capacitor and it might fix your issue - you can search for it. It is a common issue with the 3G TL.
