Had my JL 500/1 and 10W7 Installed

Well today I had my JL 500/1 amp and 10W7 sub installed. I am so happy with how it came out. Nothing fancy really just a drop in box in the trunk but WOW did it wake up the stock system. Hopefully in the next month I can get the rest of the speakers inside replaced. If anyone is considering adding a sub and amp please do it. You will not be dissapointed.

Do you have pics?

You say you had it installed, so I imagine you mean by a shop? How did they mount the amp? Did they just tap the factory sub wires and use a LOC? Did they remove your factory sub to allow bass in through that opening?

Details please!

I absolutly agree...I think this is one of the best mods that I have done....I had my subs taken out for a month, and I missed them so much...Subs make stupid ass songs sound badass

I always do my own work but got lazy and paid for a shop to install the new amp. They were nice enough to run one of the screws straight through the spare tire. Be careful who you chose to do the install.

Yes I did have it installed by a local shop that does awesome work. I the mounted the amp under the driver seat. I wanted it to not be seen at all. They did just tap into the factory sub wires and run a LOC. The factory sub is still in the rear shelf. This sub hits so hard that I didn't need to have any more spaces for the airflow to come through. I did have them install a remote bass knob so that I can get a better control on how much bass is being pushed out because I did not want it over powering the front speakers. So what I do is I set the remote bass knob, which is hidden in the center console, to a set level then I can control the sub off the factory deck. Sorry for the long post but I wanted to answer some questions. I will get some pictures today but it isn't anything special.

I will have to get some pictures tomorrow. Sorry about that guys.

Elegant it is a 10 inch W7. I like a 10 inch sub because they hit a little cleaner not as boomy. I think the W7 is one of the best subs out there as far as overall sound quality with any type of music.
