Ground for an amp mounted under passenger seat

I'm going to be mounting an amp under the passenger seat and was wondering where you would put the ground. I connected the amp and ground it on the rail near the passenger door. It's where the bundle of wires runs from the OEM amp then goes under the passenger seat. I bolted it on the area just after the bundle runs down (I sanded the paint off of the area where it's bolted). I'm getting noise from the speakers and I think that the ground is not good.

Any advice? Maybe there is a better place under the seat to ground it?

I'll have to check that tomorrow.

Any other ideas?

Thanks!
