Grom IPD3 Radio Problems!!! WTF

http://cgi.ebay.com/GROM-iPod-V3-Ada...item5d2f5f15e0

-bought the 05 tl one obviously.

I took the car apart and pulled out the radio/nav decks and plugged in the grom unit which "piggybacks" off the stock plug. Went to go plug in my phone (3.5mm jack) and it played off the phone and not through the car, great.

So I tried clicking the xm button and radio button on the headunit and nothing. Now I know I plugged the thing in right because there is literally only one way to do it. I plugged the stock harness back into the radio and NOTHING! It said audio off on the screen. None of my volume/tuning buttons work and none of the mode buttons work either! (xm/audio/radio) I have no volume whatsoever. It wont even turn on.

Now I don't think it's locked because the nav works completely and I can use the screen with the exception of the audio button which controls the radio/sound settings.

I thought possibly a wire came loose in the harness but I checked every harness in the back and they all look fine.

Now I have to drive around with my interior looking ridiculous until I can solve the issue!

Anyone??!! All I wanted was to listen to mp3s!

I don't know if the product you mentioned supports the Acura headunit. I've never seen that one used by a member on here before (not that I can remember, anyway).

Here's a DIY for the USA-Spec in my car; maybe it will help you figure out what went wrong: https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-audio-bluetooth-electronics-navigation-94/i-160-usa-spec-install-633080/

Best of luck. Sorry for the frustrating experience.

So during the ordeal I had my information screen (the one between the vents) up on the dash facing away from me. When I snapped it back in so I could drive today I noticed it flashed CODE, then stayed up as COD. Would the code to enter the radio lockout be in the user manual? Currently not by my car but if that's the solution it would be amazing.

My BB storm works with every other 3.5 mm input but I think for some reason the radio locked when I plugged in the new grom harness and unplugged the stock one. There were no bent prongs or anything and everything snapped together "assuringly" so I'm hoping finding the code will let me listen to music soon.

I do find it quite ironic that my sole intent was to be able to listen to more than the radio and now I have absolutely nothing to hear but more rattles now that my car looks like I just stole it

1 more question, my passenger side temp up, down, auto buttons are out, my cancel button is out, and my driver side heated seat button is out...just the light part, the all work still. How can I fix this? It's really noticeable driving at night when the dash has black areas, really looks bad.
