ghost phone numbers?

so, i picked up a cpo 2007 TL-S last week, and so far, it's great. i'm enjoying it a lot! i was trying to set-up the handsfreelink/bluetooth functions, and i ran into something weird. apparently, some of the phone numbers that the previous owner had programed into hfl are still there.

i cleared out all the linked phones/addresses. i re-synced my phone & address book. i listed all the contacts on the screen, and i don't see anyone i don't recognize. but when i try to call using voice command, sometimes, it doesn't recognize my voice, but it asks if i want to dial someone else. even the recorded name is someone else's voice.

any ideas? anyone else have this problem?

The previous owners phone and its entries are still logged in the car.
if you play around with the HFL setup you can easily delete the phone and its entries.
It's all via Voice, so there are no visual menus.

also, the manual gives instructions on clearing the HFL.

the problem arose when the sales agent was teaching me how to set-up all the settings in my car. he seemed a bit embarrassed by it. i thought he did the steps to clear the hfl, but unfortunately, it didn't work.

in any case, thanks for the recommendations. i'll try to clear it all out again tonight.

no, I found that you cannot "transfer contacts"
you have to manually enter in each phone number and name.

System-->phonebook--> add entry....or something like that. its in the manual and if you play with it, you can figure out how to do it.

yup, i actually already have a few important contacts on there i did it manually but since i have a 2009 gmc sierra truck and i was able to even play the music from my phone in the car speakers using the bluetooth i thought i could do the same with the tl but i guess its a little too old. well i guess ill have to do it manually. what about the music playing like in my truck is it possible in the tl?

i was able to import my phonebook using one of the menus. but i had to manually go through the list and assign HFL names to each one i wanted to use voice dial with.

i wish the display would show the person's name, rather than just the phone #.
