Hey Dutch.....I have the DVD-A of "LA Woman" by The Doors and find one annoying thing about that disc. It is recorded at a ridiculously low level for some reason. To get a comfortably listenable volume I have to crank the volume knob up to about 35. Most CDs and DVD-A's I can listen to anywhere from 12-18 on the volume....only having to crank it up to the high 20's or low 30's on the highway with a window open. (although highway driving with windows open really requires more power than the stock system has).

Anyway....what is up with the recording volume of that particular DVD-A ?

I have tried to get the DVD-audio L.A.Woman and Amazon took the order but could not deliver. I have since gotten the Doors Perception box set and the L.A. Woman disc has the same fidelity as the other 5 which are no different than any other DVD-Audio disc I have. Which after I read Adam0926 post I am relieved because it is a great album.
