Fuse slot for new amp? Can't use #32
so i just hooked up an aftermarket amp and while most people can put the turn on lead in slot #32, i have limited locations since i have 4 other add a circuits already in the fuse box.
i currently have the turn on in the #29 spot (IGVBSOL - 7.5 amp fuse, turn on lead fuse 7.5 amps) but this turns the amp on in the 2nd key position while the radio comes on in the 1st.
so today i switched it to the radio fuse (#5 - 20 amp, turn on lead fuse 7.5 amps), but when i went through the car positions there was two loud popping sounds and i got scared of blowing something so i switched to the old fuse.
any recommendations on which fuse slot to use knowing my options below? also what fuse should i use in the turn on spot (i think it's a fairly low amp pull)?
