Fuse box problems
Hey guys,
I just got an 05 TL that has a moonroof that isn't working. I've taken it apart and found that the moonroof motor isn't getting any power to it, so I traced the wire back to the fuse box & found where the wire goes into the fuse box (at connector X). The wire has continuity from the motor up to connector X. The fuse (No. 28) is good & shows 12V coming across it, but the wire coming out of connector X isn't getting any voltage.
Please help! Is there a way to fix this without having to buy a new fuse box?

Hey kyle, I saw you sent me a PM. Have you ran the tests like in the service manual?

Most of the steps can be done with a multimeter and should be done prior to changing parts left and right. You don't really need to trace the wires or anything.
First test is green wire (8) to ground and check if there's voltage. Is there voltage? If not the service manual is pretty clear on that, either fuse 28 is blown (make sure it is working by swapping it for another one), there's an open in the wire or it's fusebox/relay box issue.
Work from there doing all the steps 1 by 1 to figure out the issue.

yeah, it is the interior fuse box. I got it worked out! the green wire wasn't getting voltage. I traced it back to where the green wire comes out of the fuse box & found out it wasn't getting any power out there. I just clipped the wire and wired it through a 20 amp fuse to a 12 V power source.
