First 85+ degree day - CD player dies - 5k miles

Driving along in my 4 month old 2005 and decide to change CD's to a different disk. The player hangs after the load and does not come back. Try the other 5 slots. Same behavior. First really HOT day since I've owned this car. 85 degrees in Chicago. A/C was on.

Tried ejecting all CD's and loading Acura demo CD. No go. Would not calculate disk track time or play.

I Took car to local dealer and demonstrated behavior to Sales Manager as all the Service guys were clocked out at 5pm, yet still standing around. After affirming the behavior the Sales Manager took the info and said they'd order a new radio.
They asked to only keep my Weds appoint tentative as they were not sure part would come in.

Driving home , thinking ...this never happened to my now 4 year old 2001 Infiniti Qx4. Wife gets home...first thing she says. CD player locked up , won't eject disks or play. ERR2 code.

I'm now looking for whether it's a full moon tonight.

Anyone have a similar issue with a new '05 TL (6sp / Navi) ?

Are the radio and Navi the same unit?

Thanks

It was pretty hot out today and I have a black on black TL with NAV. Mine worked just fine all day long, strange how your unit would just go out in only 85 degree weather in the chicago area...

As with the QX-4 my friend would get an ERR2 whenever he tried playing a burned CD. Twice he got it replaced.

That happend in my 02 TL S, what I did was puch up on the slit where the CD goes in and then push eject, and the CD came out, I didnt push all that hard, just enough to make it move a lil. I dunno maybe you can try that on yours, it might work, good luck dude!

The tl is made in USA. The only tool needed to fix it is a hammer.

Again: Lev: Russian components, american components, alll made in taiwan.

I'd be surprised if temperature is the problem. It's usually 80+ here and have not had anything similar happen, sorry.

I don't recall anyone mentioning a problem of this nature. Could be a faulty HU. Let the dealer replace it since it's under warranty and then go from there. Used it constantly last summer and no probs at all.

Umm, I live in Arizona, and after a 114 degree day, all aspects of my car still function just fine. (Well, I could use a colder A/C, but I don't think that's much of a possibility.)
