Finding Power in Trunk area

Hey guys ...

I am looking for a 12V power source that is on when the car is on near the trunk area? I want to install a DVD player ... but do not have the ability to run a power wire to the front of the car (lack of confidence in myself not to screw up the car) ...

Thanks for any and all help ...

IMO it is pretty easy for you to run a wire to the front of the car if you are willing to give it a shot. You would put the wire under the rear seat, down the side to the bottom panels along the drivers side doors. Pull those panels up (they are held in by clips that just pop off)and run the wire to a fuse box and use the "add-a-circuit" unit found from any local auto store. That is also the safest way (warranty wise) to do electrical modifications. You could find out which wire on from the harness on the back of the navi DVD drive has power and tap into that.
